WTOP RADIO

WTOP Radio (FM 103.5) is a great source of weather and storm information, particularly if you lose power, those battery operated radios are always a great resource.  WTOP keeps on top of the situation in the whole area and they also have VDOT and power company officials on the air regularly providing status information.

WIND WARNINGS

Winds are one of the big concerns with this storm.  Given these fairly substantial winds, which we did not have with the first storm, there will be more power outages from that threat.

ICICLE WARNINGS

A constituent provided a good warning tip about icicles as they accumulate around our homes and businesses and break off and fall.  They can become very thick and dangerous if they hit you so one more common sense safety tip to add to the things we need to be careful about in these conditions.
