Delegate Barbara Comstock

To Participate In "Stuff The Bus" Food Drive At McLean Giant This Saturday To Benefit SHARE, Inc.

Richmond, VA - On Saturday, February 16th, from 9:30 - 11:30a.m., Delegate Barbara Comstock (R-34) will participate in the "Stuff The Bus" Food Drive outside the McLean Giant. All the proceeds from the food drive will go to benefit SHARE, Inc. of McLean.

As a part of Fairfax County's program to promote "Stuff The Bus: Feeding Fairfax Families," each week a Fastran bus staffed by MV Transportation personnel will park at a different location and collect food donations. This Saturday, the bus will be parked outside the McLean Giant.

Delegate Comstock encouraged the community to stop by and participate: "Participating in this food drive with SHARE, Inc. is a simple way to fight hunger right here in our community. In 2012, SHARE's Food Pantry provided more than 700 bags of groceries on average per month to 150 families with 500 household members. SHARE's distribution has more than doubled since the recession in 2008. SHARE is an all volunteer group and all of the donations go directly to needy families in our community."
