Statement From Delegate Barbara Comstock Honoring Teacher Appreciation Week

McLean, VA - Today, Delegate Barbara Comstock (34-VA) released the following statement celebrating our teachers and in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6th- 10th:

"In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the teachers in our community. I'd like to thank them for their work to nurture, inspire and educate children in the classroom.

"The great reputation of Northern Virginia schools is what brought my husband, Chip, and me to McLean where we raised our three children in the best community to live, work, play, pray, start a business and educate our children. Chip began as a math teacher at Langley High School and is now the assistant principal at Oakton.

"I believe that a high quality school system is vital to the education of our children as well as a strong local economy. Thank you again to all our teachers for all they do and keep up the great work."
