Delegate Comstock Appointed to the Governor's Economic Development and Jobs Creation Commission

April 20, 2010 (McLean) - On Monday, Governor McDonnell announced that Delegate Barbara Comstock will be among the members of his Economic Development and Jobs Creation Commission, created by Executive Order Number One, which he signed after he took the Oath of Office this past January.

Delegate Comstock was named to the commission consisting of business leaders, entrepreneurs and state and community leaders throughout the Commonwealth.  "I am honored to serve on this Commission.  I am particularly pleased that we have so many talented leaders from the Northern Virginia and the 34th District who will be working on this effort," said Comstock.  "During this past legislative session, job creation was our first priority and it continues to be so.  We are facing unprecedented economic challenges here and around the world.  Our furture prosperity, our schools and our roads depend upon maximizing the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit that we have in abundance in Northern Virginia.  I look forward to working with the Commission to provide solutions that will keep us a Commonwealth of Opportunity for all."
