Delegate Comstock Introduces Resolution to Celebrate    Wolf Trap’s 40th Anniversary

Richmond, VA – Delegate Barbara Comstock introduced a Resolution commending the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year.  Wolf Trap was founded in 1971 by Catherine Filene Shouse, who donated 100 acres of her Vienna, Virginia, farmland to the United States government to be used by the Wolf Trap Foundation.

House Joint Resolution 655, “Commending Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts” has now passed in both the House of Delegates and the Senate and a center aisle presentation will be held in the House of Delegates on Monday, January 31st with Wolf Trap guests and members of the Northern Virginia delegation.

Delegate Comstock issued the following statement about the Resolution:

“It was an honor to introduce this Resolution to celebrate Wolf Trap’s 40th Anniversary and its unique contributions as the nation’s only National Park for the performing arts. Through theatrical and educational programs, musical performances, and programs for diverse audiences of all ages, Wolf Trap has been instrumental in providing a wide array of cultural experiences to our area and the rest of the nation.  For over 25 years my family and I have enjoyed Wolf Trap as a vibrant part of our community.   I’m so proud to support Wolf Trap and have this national treasure in my district.”
