Delegate Comstock Statement on the Tenth Anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks
Sunday, September 11, 2011

McLean, VA -  We will never forget.  On September 11, 2001, we experienced an act of barbarism on our nation that was felt down to our local community.  We will never forget our lost husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, children, friends and loved ones. On this solemn day of remembrance, we keep the heroes and victims and their families and friends in our thoughts and prayers. We will never forget the countless acts of courage and heroism on that day and since, by our citizens, police, firefighters, first responders, and our servicemen and women in harms way who continue the difficult work of preventing terrorist attacks.  Today our community honors and mourns those heroes who lost their lives on that day and since, fighting for our country and defending our freedom. May God always bless our great country and those who defend her.

I also commend to you the Governor’s Proclamation of September 11th as a day of Remembrance, Patriotism and Prayer.

Sincerely,

Barbara Comstock
