Dear Friend,  Â
Today we began the 2012 Legislative Session of the Virginia General Assembly and I was sworn in for my second term in the Virginia House of Delegates.  This year's 60-day "long" session is scheduled to adjourn on Saturday, March 10.  I was appointed to serve on the Commerce and Labor, Transportation, and Science and Technology Committees.  I have introduced a number of bills dealing with jobs and the economy, transportation, and education, which you can see on Virginia's Legislative Information System.  It is a privilege to serve the 34th house district, which includes McLean, Great Falls, parts of Vienna, and parts of Potomac Falls.
Â
This evening, the Governor will deliver the State of the Commonwealth Address to the Joint Houses of the General Assembly at 7 p.m.  A webcast of the Governor's address will be available on his website.
I want to thank everyone who attended my six Town Hall Meetings that I held last week. Â I appreciated having the opportunity to hear from you about issues that are important to you as I return to Richmond this year. Â
