Statement From Delegate Barbara Comstock On The Eleventh Anniversary of September 11th Attacks

McLean, VA - Delegate Barbara Comstock (34-McLean) released the following statement:

"On the anniversary of September 11, 2001, we reflect upon an unimaginable tragedy and evil, not only for our nation, but right in our local community. We remember those husbands, wives, fathers, children, friends and loved ones we lost and keep them always in our our hearts and prayers."

"Today, we honor and mourn the passing of the heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom in this great nation. We honor our wounded who now struggle and live with their sacrifices every day. We are forever grateful to our servicemen and women who over the past 11 years and to this day nobly sacrifice for their fellow man. Because of them we are truly the home of the free and the brave."

"May God always bless the United States of America and all those who defend her."

Statement from Romney-Ryan Virginia Victory Campaign

Dear Friends,

My colleagues from Virginia Romney for President put together this news release that I also wanted to share with you regarding their activities on the anniversary of September 11th:

"Today, we would like to thank all the men and women who bravely serve and have served in our armed forces. We also pause to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice."

"Team Virginia will not engage in political activity on September 11th and instead, we are asking everyone to drop off supplies at any office across the Commonwealth (find locations here: http://mi.tt/y8ISU2). We will be delivering these donations to organizations that support the troops both here and overseas."

"In addition, the Romney Bus will be at the Springfield Victory Center where volunteers will assemble care packages and write encouraging notes for our troops."

You can also drop off supplies at the McLean Victory Office anytime today and we will deliver your donation to the Springfield Victory Office.
